Inconvenient? I never even noticed that particular hypothetical deity.

Um, the "Christian" God is inconvenient to believers too.
Since the preachers have taught them that the only necessary action is to accept Christ into their heart in order to obtain salvation they don't need to access God either. So how would they know?
God is reachable by faith and faith alone (hence why Mainstream Christianity is so far removed from the Bible). They don't have the faith necessary to call upon the powers of heaven.
All you have to do is believe that he'll answer, well, not even that, the hope that he might answer, but you do have to ask. That is the mainstream Christian's problem they think they're already saved so all they have to do is pay their Preacher to come up with new sermons, and they're good. Why ask God for anything really?

The Christian god isn't inconvenient. I've never had a god take any direct action that bugs me.
Now, there are a number of people who claim to know the Christian god's mind well enough to try and stick their noses into the laws that govern everyone (atheists and other non-Christian believers), and they bug me to no end.

Well, it's kind of inconvenient to have been tortured, drowned, hanged and burned in the name of your god. (My great, great, great grandmother).
That inconvenient enough for you, or should I go on?

Hes there the whole time. You just gotta let Him in. Hes always there and hes busy but not too busy for you. Sure many believers and nonbelievers get divorces, murder, and steal, but is that Him controling that? Or us? He gave us free will. He'll always be there, even when you think He's not. The devil is trying to keep you away from Him and just make you think he's too busy for you. God wants you to be happy someday after we die, but the devil doesn't. Your choice.

Because if they allow the door to be opened... even a CRACK open... to the idea that there may just truly BE a God, then that means they would need to be answerable to that God... and they don't want to do that!
MARANATHA! Come, Lord Jesus, COME!
