When Clinton left office the GAO estimated the annual federal budget with an 800 billion dollar RESERVE, when Bush left it is estimated at 1.4 Trillion deficit a year from his policies.

It depends on the era. The Republican Herbert Hoover was President from 1929-1932 during the first three years of the Great Depression. But the economy was growing during the late 19th century in the USA under Republican presidents.

Well, it's already been made clear that when a Republican President comes into office, the economy goes right into the toilet.

Under Democrats, the economy does better and people fare better as a result of their moderate policies.

Economically speaking, a Republican would probably be best. Where social issues are concerned, however, I disagree with the Republican standpoint for the most part.

And when I say a Republican would be best, I mean a Republican who actually gives a sh!t about the country, not about scoring hits on the Democratic party. If it's just another stupid Politician, he/she could be on any party and he/she would still be bad news for the country.

If the economy is the only issue, I say the one who finds the best ways to put the most disposable cash into our pockets.

  • A president from either party who has a brain

It depends on if you want to pay as you go with taxes or triple the national debt by borrowing

I think the deficits caused by Reagan and Bush give you the answer.

A intelligent president. Right now we are sorely missing one.
