Which bank opens accounts for offshore companies?

I'm working abroad for more than a year now so I decided to register an offshore company on the Seychelles. Now I'm struggling with account opening. All major banks seem to limit their offshore accounts to private individuals seeking a savings account. I need a business checking account my contractors can pay to.

Quite a number of banks specialize exactly in offshore clientele and open current business accounts. However, not all of them provide cheque books, plus some other conditions will not necessarily meet your requirements.

If you incorporated in Seychelles, local Barclays Bank is a good option. They have a remote account opening procedure (no need to travel), full Internet banking, cheque books. They might only be short on the choice of payment cards. If that is on your list as well, you should consider other alternatives.

You don't need to use intermediary's assistance to open an offshore account, but you can contact us for further advice and introduction to the bank.

Companies can have accounts in most places. The point is where the money is earned. If you earn it in the UK and have the bank account in the UK, having an offshore company won't help.

    You'll find some here: http://www.google.com/search?q=off+shore+banking&r...

But I'm surprised that no one advised you when you opened the offshore company. Personally i'd reccommend Belize.
