How do I drain old gas from the tank of a Honda Accord?
I purchased a 1990 Honda Accord to fix up. It runs, but has not been on the road for over a year. It has a little old gas in the tank. Not much. What is the best way to get the old gas out of the tank?
All of the answers are so similar that it is hard to pick a best one. Thanks to all. I took the fuel line off the filter, let the old gas drain out as much as possible, re-connected the line, filled up with fresh gas and a treatment. Ran it for a while, and it seemed to work fine. I will replace the filter this week end. Again, thanks to all.

I would not drain the gas but put in 10 gals and some gas treatment with a new fuel filter that will
take care of it for you.

Your list looks fairly complete. Only thing I would add is for the spark plugs: make sure you use either Denso or NGK brand plugs, as any other brand tend to foul out after a couple hundred miles. There should be a sticker on the underside of the hood that lists the part number for each brand.

Get a transfer pump from any of us parts stores. There's the hand type for around $9 or one that attaches to a drill, for around $16.You could also just put a bottle of Stabil in your tank, then top it off after you have given it time to mix and stabilize the gas.Either way, change out the fuel filter before putting a fresh tank of gas in.

i would pour some good gas in it maybe a gallon or so then disconect the line from the filter and turn the key on and let the elec pump do the rest run it for a little while and change the filter

I would not take it out or worry about it. You would need to pull the tank out to drain it, and that not a friendly thing to do.
