Can I use my old Nikon SLR lenses with a new D-3000?

I have a Nikon FG with Nikon and Tamron lenses. All are manual focus. Can they be used with a D-3000? I realize they won't work with AutoFocus, but are there any other problems? I hate that I have thousands of dollars of lenses collecting dust. ;)

Unless it's one of the exotic fisheye lens that need the mirror to be locked up to be mounted.

Yes the will work with D3000 but you'll have no meter reading and in manual mode you'll need a D200,D300 and above for meter and auto modes.

They likely will, but with limited functionality on a D5000. You will probably want to consider a Nikon D200 or higher model to get full use from your lens.
