I need help with dishwasher installation!?

Having the choice, is it better to have it hardwired or using a plug? I'm not sure if there's any up-to-date code that needs to be followed, but if there's such thing I want to respect the modern procedures. Any help is highly appreciated!!

Your appliance will come with a fitted plug which conforms to the electrical requirements for that unit.

If you want it to be hard wired into a switched spur then that would be up to you but the spur will have to be there or get an electrician to put one in.

I really don't think the code inspector is going to come knocking on your door for a dishwasher installation. You can pick up your wire kit at any Lowe's or home depot.

Use a plug is easier and safer.

In most states is a code violation by doing it hardwired.

You always hard wire a dish washer....there is a little box underneath it in which you feed the romex into and wire it up. They even come with the wire twist caps usually.
