Having the choice, is it better to have it hardwired or using a plug? I'm not sure if there's any up-to-date code that needs to be followed, but if there's such thing I want to respect the modern procedures. Any help is highly appreciated!!

I just started to study Japanese on my own, I got a book with the grammar and another about the hiragana writing system. Does anybody know what else should I get? Should I also get a book to learn Kanji? Whatever suggestion is very well appreciated since it's a very different language from the ones that I've studied so far and I want to do it right :-)

For halloween I decided to be a school girl and I want to make the outfit myself, copying the idea of Britney Spears in the "baby one more time" video. I already have the above-the-knee socks, I need a mini skirt that is very mini and pleated and, if possible, plaid too, but it's not necessary. Any suggestion on where I can find it?

Tomorrow I have to meet a friend in NYC and I read on the forecast it's going to be 75°F. Will it be too hot for a pair of slouch mid-calf boots? Have you seen people wearing boots already, or should I go for a slingback style for now? I'm going to stay until night, so it'll probably get colder at some point....

Hi, I got two premolars extracted today, for braces purposes. I just checked the gauze pads and they're still bleeding: is it normal? it's been 2 and 1/2 hours. It's not a very bad bleeding, meaning that the pads haven't become completely red and I can leave them on for an hour without changing them. I just would like to know when I should expect for it to stop! If anyone wants to share their experience, I'm all ears! :-)

I got braces today! I'm very excited and I was also expecting some pain. It's been already almost 7 hours since I got them on and the wire tightened, and I still don't feel any major pain. How long did it take for you to feel the pain when you got yours? Just curious...

I went today for a consultation, I'll have ceramic braces on top and metal braces on bottom. The total price is $5350, it would be $500 less if I put all metal. The price includes the emergencies and the retainer that I will have to wear after 2 years of treatment when they'll take off my braces. Oh, and I live in Long Island, NY (the location probably makes a difference in price). What do you think, is it a good price?

Hi all, I'm supposed to go give blood today. It's the first time I do it and I'm a little bit worried because I also just got my period and I already don't feel too good. Is it safe for me to give blood today? Did anyone do it before? Thanks! :-)

Hi all, I need help!! I went to the salon the other day to get my hair cut. One girl washed my hair, then my stylist cut my hair and he asked me if he could let another girl blow dry it, because she was learning, and he would supervise it. I said yes, of course, and she did a good job. The problem was when I had to tip. I didn't want to offend anyone, so I left 10$ for my stylist, and $5 for each girl, but that was in total a lot of money, and I don't know if it was right (I'm not used to tipping because I come from Italy and there things work differently).

What would you have done in my place? What should I do next time?

...does anybody know of any supplement I could get to feel energized again? Possibly something natural...
