Do you know what logic is?

Jesus is LORD, he also invented logic!

There's a great example of this in a Yahoo question a few minutes ago. Someone posed this question - "logically, god cannot prove his own existence, therefore he does not exist. isn't that a gem of a nugget of truth?"

That's utterly illogical, in itself! If evidence exists that God cannot prove his own existence, that only proves that God actually exists but that he either would not or could not prove his existence to the asker's satisfaction.

Then an answer to this question was given - "Well he tried once and 1/3 of him ended up on a cross" which also constitutes proof that there is some evidence out there!

Fortunately, there were a few logical answers to that question, from Tigerstar, Monica M, and yourself. So if anyone wants to know what logic is, check out those particular answers.

Christians aren't logical? Neither are generalizations.

I know that, when trying to prove something logically, you take the beginning premise, say "all birds can fly." Now to prove a statement like that, you would need to look at ALL birds, correct? Yet to disprove it, you would need only 1example of a bird that cannot fly. Therefore, the statement is proved false when one considers the ostrich (never mind several other examples off the top of my head).

So, evolution theory... One creature adapts, evolves, based on the environmental changes and demands, into something different and better adapted to survival. Sounds cool. But if we, humans, evolved from lower primates, monkeys, to be better able to survive, why are there still monkeys and lower primates? If they were so ill adapted to survive that they needed to evolve into something different, then is it not logical that they would no longer exist? Especially if you believe this process lasted millions of years. If that's not the case, then tell me where dinosaurs are now...

If the "fossil record" was actually PROOF of evolution, where is the missing link, the one creature that perfectly fits between what we supposedly were and what we are now?

Evolutionists talk as though this theory is proven, yet there are gaps even in it.

So, logically speaking, we can now say that is false.

    Correct?

Or does the logic of people who don't wanna believe in a Creator follow different rules than that believers are supposed to use? If so, enlighten me, please.

Logic is a set of rules for the manipulation of language. Hence the title of a famous book, which admittedly the author later wished he hadn't written: "Language, Truth and Logic."

Jesus said, 'Do this in rmemory of me'. Jesus did not say, celebrate that I have been put to death.

of course the Watch Tower does not allow the JWs to celebrate anyways. 99%+ of the Watch Tower followers do not celebrate but pass both the bread and the wine.

The Watch Tower delights in commemorating the death of Jesus.

'Logic' is the study of reasoning.

Logic is used in most intellectual activity, but is studied primarily in the disciplines of philosophy, mathematics, and computer science.

Logic examines general forms which arguments may take, which forms are valid, and which are fallacies.

It is one kind of critical thinking.

In philosophy, the study of logic falls in the area of epistemology.

Epistemology or theory of knowledge is the branch of philosophy concerned with the nature and scope (limitations) of knowledge.

    It addresses the questions:

    What is knowledge?

    How is knowledge acquired?

    What do people know?

How do we know what we know?
