Why do the tv's in my house not sync?

The tv in the kitchen is 7-8 seconds ahead of the one in the living room. It makes it impossible to watch a game or something on both tv's.

Does anyone know what the problem is? It happened after the switch to digital tv.

ps - the one in the living room uses a cable box, does that affect it?

Yep, mine too. I think it depends probably on how fast the box is to catch the info for the tv. I'm guessing it's like the memory on a computer, the more memory, the faster it is. Computers are digital like these boxes. Some computers are slower than others. It just depends on how slow or fast the information gets through.
