Why were people freaked out that i borrowed a clean pair of briefs from my buddies older brother?

i forgot to pack underwear for a camping trip and my buddies brother gave me a pair to wear and everyone freaked out and said its gross to wear clean briefs from another guy. am i the only one who thinks its not wierd?
