PCV licence required to drive a bus?

Hi. I was just wondering if a PCV license is required to drive a bus if you are not carrying any passengers. If so, what is the minimum age to do so and what is the largest vehicle you can drive with a standard driving license? Thanks

EDIT - Thanks for the answers, but I live in the UK.

There are so many answers to this question. It depends for a start when you passed your car test and how big the bus is. The biggest bus you would be able to drive without a PCV pasengers or not is 16 seats. If the vehicle is licensed to carry passengers then its only 8 seats. For a full PCV you have to be 21 unless a serving member of the armed forces then its 17. If you passed you car test BEFORE jan 1997 things change. Suggest you look on DVLA Swansea site for a full breakdown as its too complicated to try to sum up here as there are so many variables.
