Biggest Tire That Will Fit Stock VW Bug ('68) Rims?

I want to put the biggest, fattest, tallest tires that will fit (safely) onto the rear of my 1968 Bug.

I have stock rims and the bug has not been lowered - tires are only for the back as I have already put 145's up front.

    how lots wider from inventory are they the 265 while in comparison with inventory length ? the 1st set of numbers whats the version and if its severe distinction could be too huge to in good shape rim yet I cant guess what the producing unit width replaced into

    BFG 27x8.5x14 All Terrain tires will just fit, but they are hard to find.
