In baseball withdrawal... So, survey time!!!?

Okay guys... I haven't been on in a while, and I don't actually see ANYONE I recognize... T.T

Anyway, here's a survey... Hope you like it!

1) Are you having issues that spring training is months away?

2) How are YOU dealing with the absence of baseball? Watching football? Sulking in a corner? xD

3) Who was your team's ROY and MVP in 2009?

4) What are you looking forward to most next season?

5) Is baseball your favorite sport (to watch or play)? Or does football or soccer or some other sport take precedent?

6) You see your FAVORITE player in the world at the grocery store- what do you do?

BQ: Yankees won the World Series- were you heartbroken or thrilled?

Update:

Mimiiiiii! :DDD

I'm ridiculously busy with school and whatnot, but other than that, quite good. How about you?

Lol and I just want you to know I was TOTALLY pulling for the Angels in the ALCS. And almost cried when the Yankees won. Like, seriously, I'm sort of a bit protective of the Angels; it's along the lines of... "Only, WE, as division rivals, may beat up on you. You Yanks back off of them!!!"

Lol :)

    Nice question!

    1. Nah, as a Yankee fan, I'm still enjoying this championship.

    2. I am watching a lot of NBA basketball. I get NBA Broadcast, just I get MLB.TV, so I can watch games all over the league. I am also preparing to start a pursue a new career at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, as my old job fell victim to the economy, and spending as much of the last of my "free" days (before life gets real busy) with my 1- and 3-year-old girls.

    3. My team is theYankees. ROY was definitely Phil Coke. Though he lost his job in the World Series to Damaso Marte, he was counted on to get all the toughest left-handed hitting outs throughout the regular season and first two rounds of the playoffs, and he came through repeatedly. MVP was Alex Rodriguez. The team was 13-15 to start the season, and finished 101-47, including playoffs. He made all his teammates better, which is the biggest mark of an MVP.

    4. I am most looking forward to watching my favorite player, Mariano Rivera, pitch again. At age 40, I realize the end is near for him, and I am going to appreciate every inning Yankee fans have left because his retirement and imminent enshrinement in the Hall of Fame.

    5. Baseball and basketball are my favorite sports to watch. Basketball and football are my favorite to play.

    6. I would go up to Mariano Rivera, shake his hand and thank him for all his class off the field, and great thrills on the field that he has given me and my family over the last 14 years.

    BQ: Thrilled!!!

    3) Who was your team's ROY and MVP in 2009?= Tie Fransisco Cervelli & Brett Gardner

    MVP= Tex & Jeter

    1. What player has the coolest name? ~It's been said before, but Coco Crisp is pretty good. 2. Who do you predict will win the 2009 All-Star game? ~The ASG is a joke. Just a popularity contest these days. But I'll go against the grain and say NL. 3. Will you be subscribing to MLB network? ~Depends on how much money I'll have by the start of the season lol 4. Poll: Maple or ash? ~Ash- Babe Ruth didn't hit with a maple bat and he did just fine! Plus ash bats aren't as likely to take someone's eye out. 5. What is your most prized baseball possession? ~I don't know... Stuff from the HOF and I'm thinking my Mark Teixeira signed ball is pretty good. 6. What stadium WITH a dome is your favorite? ~I've only been to one, and that's Tropicana. So we'll go with that. 7. As a Dbacks fan I can't decide, who should be my rival team? ~The Yankees. Jk lol, but seriously, you either love'em or hate'em. 8. Who writes the best baseball surveys, not questions, surveys? Don't say me, I will know you are sucking up because this is only my 3rd ~I love Greta's, YFFL's, and Scooter's... Sorry if I offended anybody lol in all likelihood I probably forgot someone wonderful...

i am having issues dealing with the fact that there are 127 days until Opening Day [i've had a countdown since i got my hands on a 2010 schedule]. i've been watching football lately, and i watch replays of my team on tv whenever they're on. i'm looking forward to (hopefully) a better pitching staff. we've traded a few players that i loved (including Hardy) and i'm afraid and excited for the 2010 season. i'm not sure how i feel about all of this yet. baseball is my absolute most favorite sport in the entire world. i watch every game (of my team's) that i can, and i play fastpitch softball for my school, not sure how they would take a girl trying out for the boy's baseball team. if i saw my favorite player at the grocery store. i would FREAK OUT and then run up to them and start talking baseball, get an autograph and a picture, and let it progress from there. i am PISSED that the Yankees won. i hate the yankees with a burning passion. they're a corporate enitity, with WAY too much money, not a real baseball team. they don't play real baseball. they probably don't even love the game. but who am i to be talking..i don't know what they think. all i know is that i hate them, and i love my team.

    1) No, I like the seasons. Hockey and football on now. It's Grey Cup Sunday up here in Canada today to satisfy my sports cravings.

    2) See 1)

    3) MVP is Felix Hernandez; ROY...not sure, Rob Johnson I guess. Memory is starting to go.

    4) M's winning the World Series (what good is the offseason if not for clinging to unrealistic dreams?)

    5) Baseball is my favourite to watch and play, but I also love hockey, football, soccer & rugby

    6) I say "Konichiwa, Ichiro"

BQ: Neither. Would have preferred the Phillies to win, but I was happy just to see a semi-competitive World Series after five years of duds.

    1. I'm kind of enjoying the off season. Since the Yanks won this year, it feels good to be able to relax and know that we accomplished everything we set out to do this year.

    2. Schoolwork has kept me busy a lot. I've also been watching football lately!

    3. Cervelli as ROY and Teixeira or CC as MVP.

    4. Trying to repeat.

    5. I play softball, since I'm a girl. That is my favorite sport to play. I love watching college softball too. But baseball is definatly my favorite sport to watch.

    6. Try to stay calm, unsuccesfully! Haha, then I'd probably go ask them for an autograph and tell them how amazing I think they are!

BQ: As a Yankee fan, thrilled!

    1. Yeah, hot stove season is always hard. I can't wait for the season to begin.

    2. Haha, yeah I'm sulking in a corner =P Nah watching basketball mostly, I love the Celtics. And a little football too, and watching all the hot stove coverage and stuff on MLB Network.

    3. Our ROY would have to be Daniel Bard. MVP is a tougher choice.. Jacoby Ellsbury, Kevin Youkilis and Jason Bay were all very valuable to the Red Sox this past season.

    4. I'm just looking forward to hopefully having a great season, and maybe even winning a championship =)

    5. Most definitely. Favorite sport to watch, favorite sport to play.. just one of my absolute favorite subjects in the whole world =)

    6. I would freak out on the inside but try and keep cool, and ask them for their autograph and picture, and chat about the last game.

    7. I was disappointed and frustrated and pissed off but oh well, life goes on.

    1. Yes! Baseball seriously makes my day when I watch it. Every day has just been crappy.

    2. Focusing on school, and I got my birthday and Christmas to make me feel better.

    3. I honestly don't know.

    4. Seeing how the Mariners can do this year in general. We had a 24 game improvement from the year before so I'm pretty stoked.

    5. Favorite to watch. Tennis is my favorite to play.

    6. Take deep breaths. And if he looks like he is in a good mood maybe say hi or something.

BQ: Doesn't matter. I don't prefer them winning but they spent the money for a ws win and got one.
