Hello hello hello~ I love sports and I support my Angels the best I can. I hang in the Baseball Section! And mysteriously wander to the craziness that is P&S when needed. I plan to positively change the world one hello at a time. • Concerns about my teenage brother?

I'll cut straight to the chase. My 14 year old brother does an online game and he chats with this girl (his own age) he met while playing. They've been talking for 4 months now and apparently they've developed strong feelings for each other (Uhm yes "the L word" aka love). My mom and I both know. They chat online all the time to a point where it's kind of too much. Let's just be honest, our family is worried. I mean who wouldn't be? He's chatting with someone he never met before and tells us that he loves her. We don't want him to runaway from us or anything dramatic so we aren't pressuring him too much about anything. To be honest, my brother is a smart kid and we're an overdramatic/worrywort kind of family.

The best thing is that my brother and I are really close and he really confides in me. I just want some advice on how to handle everything and to make sure my parents don't die from worry. Thanks everyone!

  • What's a simple and quick yet healthy breakfast to make?

College Student here! I have to wake up really early everyday to go to class (all my classes start around 8) and I don't have time to eat breakfast. I don't want to starve or just eat different snacks during my classes. I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day so any suggestions for something healthy I can fix up quickly before I leave?

  • The top 5 batting leaders are all in the AL and the top 5 pitching leaders are all in the NL....?

    Batting Leaders:

    Hamilton .355

    Morneau .345

    Cabrera .341

    Beltre .333

    Cano .329

The batting leader for the NL is Carlos Gonzalez with .327

    Pitching Leaders:

    Johnson 1.97 ERA

    Wainwright 2.07 ERA

    Hudson 2.24 ERA

    Halladay 2.34 ERA

    Latos 2.36 ERA

Pitching leader for the AL is Cliff Lee with 2.44 ERA

Is that a good indication of the strengths/weaknesses of each league? Or just a coincidence?

  • Tips for College Freshman-to-be?

I'm entering college in 3 weeks and I'm really nervous/scared. It seems everyone else is more excited. I wish I was the same. I don't know if I'm prepared for college courses. I did very well in high school. I ended high school with an overall GPA of about 4.0 but high school is different from college.

I'm also leaving my small town to a completely different area. I've been in my small town for as long as I could remember and to leave is kind of scary even if my school is only an hour away. Maybe I'm just too used to my neighborhood and my circle of friends that having to make new ones is kind of.. well daunting :P

Some days I'm excited and some days I'm not. So any advice? Survival guide to be successful in college? And have fun too?

  • What is the worst season you've experienced as a fan?

2003 was the worst season I've experienced as a fan... though to be honest I don't even remember any of it! I wonder what my 11 year old self was doing... Aside from that I've been an Angel fan since I was 8 years old and this is the second worst season I've ever experienced (I'm now a college freshman I guess you can do the math :P.) As of right now the Angels are 54-53 and tied with Oakland for second place, behind the Texas Rangers.

    Yes, I'm spoiled T.T

  • How many players do you know that changed positions late in their careers?

After playing centerfield for most of his major league career, Torii Hunter is permanently the right fielder for the LA Angels of A thus bringing up the very talented rookie Peter Bourjos. It'll be hard to get used to because for he played center for as long as I was a fan (of his and of baseball) but I thank him for his selflessness. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to watch such a talented and classy player everyday :)

  • Ozzie spews off yet again, thoughts?

Asian players treated better than Latinos

CHICAGO (AP)— Sox manager Ozzie Guillen thinks Asian players are given privileges in the United States that Latinos are not afforded.

In his latest rant, the outspoken Guillen also said he’s the “only one” in baseball teaching young players from Latin America to stay away from performance-enhancing drugs and that Major League Baseball doesn’t care about that.

He said MLB only cares about how often he argues with umpires and what he says to the media.

Guillen said it’s unfair that Japanese players are assigned translators when they come to the U.S. to play pro ball, but Latinos are not.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AvtTw6C92opw...

I think you should all read the entire article. The issue of PEDs does come out and I thought his argument on translators (or lack there of) is worth discussing :P Though to be honest I think it's because there are more Latinos in baseball than Asians so it would be a bit easier to just give a Japanese player a translator but I dunno.

  • What are you excited to see in the second half?

Sorry for the question overload... but this is my last one for tonight I promise

I'm excited to see how Ubaldo Jimenez is going to end his season and how the divisions (that are ultra competitive this year!) will end up.

    Thank you so much!

  • Is there a pitcher on your team that just never seems to get enough run support?

The Angels offense must hate Ervin Santana because he never gets run support. The offense gets hot during the week and then all of a sudden when he's on the mound they automatically get cold. He should have at least 13 wins by now. It's incredibly puzzling.
