players who don't hustle. my god! you are getting paid millions and you arent even trying!!
Kemp did it last night not running home as hard as he could and Loney got tagged out before he could score. ITS SO FRUSTRATING!!

Pitch Count! When I was a kid there was no such thing as a pitch count. I can remember pitchers going the distance in many more starts during the course of a season. No one cares about pitch counts. Today it is so overstated it's not funny.
One other pet peeve! I have a real problem with umpires who think they are more important than the game itself. Last I heard, fans don't come to the ball park to see the umpires. I could be wrong but I don't think so!

Mangers sometimes intentionally walk players when it isn't necessary and it drives me insane.
And I also can't stand when a player strikes out looking on a pitch that WAS a strike and wants the whole world to know he thought it was a ball. Cody Ross did that tonight and made such a huge deal out of it that one of the base umpires had to ask him to calm down. The pitch was a strike, and it was a perfect breaking ball that started outside but curved back in over the plate.

The bullpen blowing games away especially when they are facing the best teams in baseball. A weak bullpen puts a damper on the entire team and therefore it becomes a question whether or not your team are serious competitors.

When the manager pulls a guy whos been pitching a gem just to "save his arm" its bullcrap. Stephen Strausburg is in his 20s and your treating him like a fricken 8 year old. Let him pitch jesus christ you say things like look at Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, they were DAMAGED GOODS to begin with look at Mike Leake he's fine. Managers got to stop babying pitchers.

When relievers come into a game with a huge lead, say 6 runs or more, and don't throw strikes.

Hmm... probably when a manager pulls a pitcher out after one out. Seriously why put the pitcher in there in the first place when you know your going to take them out after one out?

The extreme shift, especially of infielders, and even moreso when the batter (lefty, and infielders shifted anticipating a pull) doesn't even try to catch them off guard by laying drag bunt to 3rd.
That and admiring a home run instead of just running.

When players don't hustle on a groundout, if there is an error. the runner can't make it to second base because he doesn't feel like running. Also when lefties come in to face one or two batters

Slow play. Work out your strategy and signs ahead of time so you can get on with the game.
And announcers who say "Team X is down to their last strike" when there is two out and two strikes in the ninth inning. It's harmless but it is said every single time it happens.

I agree, stop babying pitchers unless they feel they can not physically throw anymore in the game and they ask to be taken out.
