Where is the oil filter located on a 2002 chevy silverado? i need to know asap. please help out.?

Assuming it's a gas engine and not a diesel its screwed on to the oil filter adapter on the left (drivers) side of the engine. You really cant miss it. If it's a 4X4 it's right above the front differential.

Look UNDER the car on the block, you should see some sort of colored cylinder sticking out. Not sure what the oem color would be but fram filters have orange housing and purolator have white, some others are white (stp I believe...). You WILL be able to see it unless it's a drop in filter (which it isn't).

Need to know engine size. Typically not too far from the oil pan though.
