Why does yahoo mail ask if I am sure I want to delete my spam, but does'nt ask the same question in the in box?

Because spam is deleted right away & things in the Inbox go to the Trash folder. When you delete things from the Trash folder is when you get the "are you sure?" question for things that started out in your Inbox.

Because the items that you delete in your 'spam' box is permanently deleted, whereas the items you delete from your inbox goes to the 'trash' box giving you that second chance to think about it.

When you delete from the Spam folder (and the Trash folder)---it's gone forever.
You'll get NO other chance to restore any of them,---- so that's Yahoos way of saying-----Hey! this is IT---are you sure?
When you delete from the inbox and other folders----you still have one more chance to save them-----from the Trash.

What you delete from the 'IN' box goes to trash.
You still have a chance to retrieve it.
when you clear the 'TRASH' folder, you get the same warning.
