If a question you've answered goes to 'In Voting...'?
would you vote for your answer as best?

I discovered this a while ago & got over 100 points out of it.
When I asked a similar question some people said I was cheating & I should let others be the judge of my questions.
Look at it.

I have but I think only when it was really the best. OK, it wasn't but it was not too bad.
Seriously, I don't think there is a rule against it and there are no names on the answers when you vote. One time I answered a question weeks earlier and another answer was so similar to mine, I'm not sure if I voted for my own or somebody else's.

There is nothing in the guidelines to say that you cannot vote for your own answer when a question has gone to the public vote, if it was not allowed you would not have the facility to do it. However Yahoo hopes that you when you vote you choose the best answer and not necessarily your own unless it is the best answer of course. Judging by all the 'idk' and 'great' answers that seem to win best answer I would say that everyone votes for their question regardless of how good or bad it is!

The first time i did it was purely to see if it was possible to do.
The second time, i genuinely thought my answer was the best - mine was detailed whereas the others were pretty much one word answers.
I haven't done it since, but probably will one day if i havent had best answer for a while :o)
- How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

Yeah...unless someone else had a stand-out, clearly much better answer...then I would give them best answer...but strangely those are becoming less and less common on Yahoo! Answers...

Poorly egg rolled up the hill,
He voted on his beaky,
And then the suthering began,
To mark his legs as 'weaky'.
