My 9 week old daughter can hold her head up for 5-10 (sometimes more) minutes at a time while looking around and "talking" to me or my partner

My daughter is 5 weeks old, and she can hold her head up already for short periods of time. When she's laying on her stomach she can lift her head up for a few seconds at a time. At about 2-3 months they should be able to hold their heads up.

Every baby is different. My daughter was born a week late, nearly 9 lbs, and she could hold her head up from birth. My niece was 2-3 months old before she could hold her head up.

properly my 3 a million/2 mth previous son holds his head up o.k. many of the time. He hardly ever places it down,i think of it could b because of the fact he's afraid he will circulate to sleep. As for dozing in his mattress when you consider that he replaced right into a pair of month previous he has been dozing in his mattress and throughout the time of the evening. i've got been particularly fortunate . on the different hand when you consider that he sleeps 12 hrs at evening he hardly ever takes a snooze throughout the time of the day so as that makes him incredibly fussy. good success to u in all the recent adventures with ur new little angel.

all 3 of mine attempted to hold it up from birth (just for 5 seconds or so) and gradually built up from there. My eldest could hold it up and also sit up on her own from 4 months
