Proof Margarito cheated?

I have question for you guys, lets say you had proof Margarito unknowingly cheated against Miguel Cotto and it was solely the trainer who did the plaster thing, how would you handle it? I live in L.A. so im sort of in the know on what goes on in the L.A. boxing scene and a few weeks ago i saw/heard some disturbing news. Anyway, i just wanna hear what you guys would say.

Update:

John B - Where do you live at? i live in the SFV, i'm actually not in the fight scene anymore, i'm now working towards becoming a referee but i'm starting at the very beginning which is the amateur fights. Anyway one of the trainers from the Wildcard lives in my building, anyway, a guy i know is more connected to trainers than i am, i know lots of fighters, he told me he saw actual video of Capetillo using plaster, i of course called his BS until i saw with my own eyes what i saw, to me it looked as if Margarito didn't know but who knows. I don't know what these trainers think, don't they know there is always a camera around? anyway i know 99% of people here on Yahoo are gonna say i'm bull$h!tting also but thats okay, my question wasn't who believes me, my question was "what would you do if you knew?" My friend was joking "How much would TMZ pay me" anyway, i wish i can write more but i can only write so many letters on here. email me dude. i wanna post the video on youtube so bad haha

Margarito "unknowingly" cheated? Is there a video of him SLEEPING while his hands were being wrapped? Must be, cuz I don't buy that Margarito didn't know. Whatever "disturbing news" you heard, is probably MEANT for you to hear (and spread), because Margarito's career is on the line. He needs to get back to boxing and at the same time, not be hated. The only way for him (and his manager) to do that is to say he "didn't know", and create some "disturbing news" that points the blame at the trainer. The last I heard is that Margaritos people asked Freddie Roach to train Margarito (cus of his impeccable reputation) and to help him make peace with the commission. But to answer your question in how I would handle it...... I would contact a high profile boxing writer like Tom Hauser or Dan Rafeal and tell one of them your "disturbing news."

Can you give us a HINT as to what you heard???

"I live in L.A. so im sort of in the know on what goes on in the L.A. boxing scene and a few weeks ago i saw/heard some disturbing news" ....come on G.O.A.T, spill the beans...

To answer your question; I can't understand how a fighter wouldn't be able to tell if a foreign object or substance has been applied to his wraps, so i find it hard to believe Margarito "unknowingly" cheated. If it was very subtle and Margarito genuinely was unaware of any wrong doing i would feel a bit sorry for him being banned for a year. It's wrong for a trainer to take a chunk of his fighters career through cheating. However, it is ultimately the fighters responsibility to know what goes onto his fists so i wouldn't have complete sympathy for him.

G.O.A.T, haven't seen you around here awhile, glad to see ya again...

DUDE! I live in L.A.! I can commute to the Wildcard Boxing Club like in 15 min!!!! (23423 hours in traffic lol). Anyways, I think Margarito should be let back into boxing, not even Cotto, the victim of all this, has called for his banishment, but rather has stated that the whole Margarito incident is a past chapter in his life, the same for Margarito, it's not like he's uses plaster for all his fights, and sure didn't look like it for the P.Williams fight. I am in the L.A. boxing scene, but I don't know what gym you work out at, but I would love to know what you heard/saw.

P.S. As a Mexican American boxing fan, I had Margarito has the creme de la creme of Mexican boxers, he was the only prime, dominant boxer we had and when the handwraps thing was revealed, it bummed the hell out of me, so this story does mean alot to me, so I would appreciate the news you heard/saw.

I'd love to hear what disturbing news you heard.

It's possible for a trainer to do SOME things without a boxer's knowledge. Removing padding from the gloves from the inside is possible if a fighter places full trust in his trainer. It's not likely the fighter would not know but it is possible.

However, it's near impossible to put plaster, a liquid that turns solid, on a fighter's hands without him knowing. What did he do, wrap Margarito's hands while he napped?

I get the impression that everyone involved TRIED to give Margarito the benefit of the doubt. But it's near impossible to do so when you're talking about plaster on the hands because it's a liquid. If he did cheat against Cotto, he HAD to know what the trainer put on his hands.

That tried dishonest by way of handwrap relatively placed Margarito's integrity in query. That is how merciless human is. One mistake will stick in his repute a lot more if he loss in opposition to Cotto. He wasn't stuck crimson passed however a pinkish/reddish colour was once noticeable in his handwrap while he fought Miguel adopted via the invention of that tried dishonest, These have been certain in combination that makes men and women consider that he was once dishonest for decades. Lets see how he's going to participate in in opposition to Miguel Cotto.
