If I file a personal injury lawsuit and service those involved can an attorney take the case afterward?
The problem no one will take the case so close to the statute of limitations. The state statute is up on the 20th of January 2010. This involves a vehicle accident and big insurance co.

Lots of attorneys file a lawsuit on the last date of the statute. The complaint may not be detailed...but it's in just under the wire. As it is, you've got over 4 weeks to get a complaint filed.
Usually you sue the at fault driver...not the insurance company.
There are problems with this case other than the statute if an attorney won't touch it.

That is almost a month and a half.
Any personal injury attorney can do it in that length of time.
The statute of limitations only applies to filing the lawsuit, not completing it.
