Please help: I need to know how to create a campaign strategy for a charity prior to 2010 elections?

In the run up to the 2010 general elections, I need to create a campaign strategy for a charity. Does anyone know what this would involve??

Also, once you know the ideas you want to put accross, how do you let the government know? Is there a time line I should know about? Anything else???

PLEASE HELP!!

Update:

I think some people go on this site for the sole reason of insulting other people. I find it pathetic.

P.S. I am a marketing professional actually, for a reputable company, but want to know more about a CAMPAIGN strategy - not a marketing & PR strategy.

Picking other people's brains is a good thing - it's good to share knowledge!!!!

To launch a good campaign strategy about *charity* you must get a lot of high profile celebrities to

endorse your *charity* and go on the media 24/7 blabbing on how your *charity* is the most charitable

    I have a special charity

*The Support of the Unwed Fathers* or SUF for short

I collect money so the unwed fathers of the world can have a place to hang out and maybe drink beer

(whatever) and shoot pool and watch sports on TV 24/7~~no good deed ever goes unpunished

let the unwed fathers have a *resort* to have a repast from the pressures of being an unwed father.

Lawyers and courts take the joy out of being an unwed FATHER> show some compassion for the

dead beat dads of the world~give and give often to SUF

Source(s): The following message I endorse as I was an unwed father and I suffered much~<sigh>

No one is going to teach you about marketing and nonprofit management here.

There are entire graduate school disciplines on it.

They make these things called LIBRARIES.

    Go to one.

    Get books.

    Read.

    Learn.

If you're talking about an ELECTION campaign, you can't.

It is illegal for 501.c.3 nonprofits to support candidates for public office.

And there are strict limits on the lobbying that they can do.

    Now.

Are you talking about a marketing campaign or an election campaign?

And if you're SUCH the expert in marketing, then you would know that the principles are exactly the same.
