If your account had been banned you would have received an email from PSN. Sounds like your "new" PS3's previous owner's behaviour was so bad they were MAC blocked. You'll have to sort this out with Sony support.

try making a new account on the psn, and if it doesnt let you then it means that the console itself is ip banned, but if no problems on a new account then it is your old account that is banned. Either way you need to ask the seller of the console and maybe ask for a refund.

Sounds like you might need to deactivate the old PS3 and then activate the new PS3. Should be somewhere in the options of the XMB.

u can create a new user at the home screen and log in with that.then click sign up for psn.then click the option use existing account.if that doesn't work then it would be banned and u gotta call sony
