Well, the best way to retain the special effects is burning your presentation to DVD. To get more accuracy converting effect, you can try Acoolsoft PPT2DVD (http://www.acoolsoft.com/?page=110 )

Slideshare is a presentation hosting site, and it cannot preserve animations and sounds in your presentation.
To keep a presentation as it is when converted to video, you can use these PowerPoint to video converters:
Moyea PPT to Video Converter, free download at http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-video/
Moyea PPT to Video Converter Edu Edition, available at http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-video-educ...
Moyea PPT4Web - PPT to Flash Converter, http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-flash/
Hope that helps
