"The Pope said the name Jehovah to be removed".....What do you think this?
POPE said that the name Jehovah has to be removed from all there hymns, books etc from all Catholic publications.
He said name to HOLY to use!!!
Well if his name is to holy to use? is not JEHOVAH and JESUS part of same trinity doctrine?
Should not the name JESUS ALSO be to holy to use?
Shot themselves in the foot again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True Christians will get the point.

Exactly.... If you can't say the name of God because of it being holy then what about Jesus or what about holy spirit, oh wait, there is no name for the holy spirit because there is no trinity taught in the bible. Silly how so many people believe this lie when only they open their eyes and read God's word and find out the answe. The bible doesn't contradict itself because it is inspired of God and so the teaching of the trinity should be taught all over the bible, but it is not!

He may have said the name Jehovah is too holy to use, but, I would submit this as a alternate reason: The name Jehovah (or YHWH if you wish) is used exclusively by Jehovah's Witnesses. The Catholics use of God's name has opened a whole can of worms since they have too many beliefs, ideas, traditions and idols that make them look really bad when compared with Jehovah's people. The further they get from the truth, the sooner will come their end. If the Pope thinks this is the best thing to do, that's okay with me. In just a short time, there will be no Catholic religion, or any other false religion on earth, as they have annoyed the world's governments, one time too many.

Assuming that the Pope did say what you attribute to him.
He has simply adopted the ancient Jewish Orthodox point of view about the name of God.
Based on the fact, that the Rome Catholic Church adjusted Bible teaching to create the trinity.
Your conclusion about there actions is feasibly correct.
Could this be why they are limping towards an amalgamation with discontented members of the Church of England.
Did you know that the Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church do not accept the doctrine of the trinity.

Apostolic Succession
Definition: The doctrine that the 12 apostles have successors to whom authority has been passed by divine appointment. In the Roman Catholic Church, the bishops as a group are said to be successors of the apostles, and the pope is claimed to be the successor of Peter. It is maintained that the Roman pontiffs come immediately after, occupy the position and perform the functions of Peter, to whom Christ is said to have given primacy of authority over the whole Church. Not a Bible teaching.

The pope (what's his name??) has taken his stand publicly on the ISSUE of the name of Jehovah.
New Jerusalem bible
Matthew 6:9
"So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy"
The pope won't be following the example of Jesus. But what's new?
John 17:6
"I have revealed your name to those whom you took from the world to give me. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word."
Pharoah also had to be shown the significance of Jehovah's name.
Exodus 9:16
"But I have let you survive for this reason: to display my power to you and to have my name talked of throughout the world."

No ‘Yahweh’ in songs, prayers at Catholic Masses, Vatican rules
Catholic News Service – Aug 12, 2008
WASHINGTON (CNS) — In the not-too-distant future, songs such as “You Are Near,” “I Will Bless Yahweh” and “Rise, O Yahweh” will no longer be part of the Catholic worship experience in the United States.
At the very least, the songs will be edited to remove the word “Yahweh” — a name of God that the Vatican has ruled must not “be used or pronounced” in songs and prayers during Catholic Masses.
Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli of Paterson, N.J., chairman of the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship, announced the new Vatican “directives on the use of ‘the name of God’ in the sacred liturgy” in an Aug. 8 letter to his fellow bishops…
“By directive of the Holy Father, in accord with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, this congregation … deems it convenient to communicate to the bishops’ conferences … as regards the translation and the pronunciation, in a liturgical setting, of the divine name signified in the sacred Tetragrammaton,” said the letter signed by Cardinal Francis Arinze and Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith, congregation prefect and secretary, respectively.
The Tetragrammaton is YHWH, the four consonants of the ancient Hebrew name for God.
“As an expression of the infinite greatness and majesty of God, it was held to be unpronounceable and hence was replaced during the reading of sacred Scripture by means of the use of an alternate name: ‘Adonai,’ which means ‘Lord,’” the Vatican letter said. Similarly, Greek translations of the Bible used the word “Kyrios” and Latin scholars translated it to “Dominus”; both also mean Lord. http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/08041...

I think that Pope has lost his mind or the devil got his mind.
No one should never remove his name (JEHOVAH!)
I don't know if Pope did not read this or he don't care.....please read Revelation 22:19 and if anyone takes anything away from the word of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things which are written about in this scroll.

Great question and yes they sure did. But, truly is it a surprise? they are always trying to bring reproach upon our heavenly Father Jehovah God, and Satan is strong, but he can never compare to Jehovah and His strength. In due time all will be wonderful again as Jehovah intended.

Always stay with Jehovah God.

You must be holy for I am holy When did god say not to use your name or his because it was too holy? Too holy? Jehovah is not too holy he is 3 holy.... holy holy holy is Jehovah of armies. Satan wants us to not use that name because the demons hate it! Anyone who stops saying Jehovah's name is lost!!! Will they stop saying hallelujah too? It means praise Jehovah. And the number three is for emphasis and Jehovah told us they say holy holy holy is Jehovah of armies constantly before his throne.
