The tips of my parakeet's white wing feathers are discoloring to an orange tint, does it mean it's sick?
My blue parakeet just died, and i'm worried if my yellow one is sick too. it's droppings were watery and green, but just a few hours ago it changed back to its normal black w/ white hard dropping. it's tail bobs just a tiny bit, but i'm not sure if that's normal or not. i know bobbing tails mean its sick, but hers just twitches a little as she staying still. she still sings, is very active and eats properly, but i heard birds are good at covering their sickness. i heard discoloration is bad, but only around its face. her face is fine, its just the tips of her wings....i want to make sure if she's probably sick or not before considering taking her to a vet.

Orange is not a colour you will ever find on a budgie as they do not produce that colour. Same goes for red. Look around the cage for items she may have got the colour from....mineral block, cement perch etc. Check wings for broken blood feathers as they also can tint the wings a pale reddish which will look orangish in small amounts.

All birds circulate right into a molt wherein they lose some feathers, even vast feathers. Your chicken is in all probability only in that's molting season. no longer something to stress approximately if that's only feathers and would not final very long. maximum birds in the event that they're sick will tutor different seen indications of ailment.
