American quality of life would have to go down a good deal.
We buy other companies imports because their cost structure/labor is cheaper. We borrow money from other countries because we don't have enough of our own.
Think about Americans making all of their own clothes, toys, shoes and everything else. It would have to be made worthwhile....

Tax policy that rewards not punishes productivity. eg FairTax
Return back to the basic ideas that our country was founded on, lead by example and let these other countries fend for themselves.
