Update 2:

ExxonMobil has been criticized by major environmental advocacy groups. In 2003, Greenpeace listed Exxon as #1 Climate Criminal. Exxon's alleged crimes include the sabotage of efforts to deal with climate change, the fraudulent manipulation of peer reviewed scientific studies and organizations, misleading and outright lying to the population of the USA, its government officials and the global community in general. It has also been accused of fomenting so called junk science in order to deny climate change and support the views of climate skeptics, among other actions.

How about "Group promoting climate catastrophe has extensive ties to pro catastrophe groups"?

Groups that are getting MILLIONS in grants are tied to the CRU and we now know to a certainty because of the exposed emails that the CRU types were PREVENTING peer review for opposing views.

Exxon's contributions to the group are minor compared to the total amount Exxon gives to other groups and PALE when compared to the the MILLIONS of grants dollars that we know have been stolen by the CRU's of the world based on false data.

Nice try, but ExxonMobil didn't write those emails. Climate "Scientists" did. As shameful as the emails were, the reaction (or non-reaction) of the scientific community is even worse. The response that these were just emails between scientists, speaking in scientific terms that the uneducated populace (i.e. peasants) cannot understand is pure BS. I'm no scientist, but I understand what it means to "delete all emails" about a certain topic. And you don't need a Phd to figure out that conspiring to keep contrary opinions out of the peer reviewed journals isn't exactly in keeping with the pristine ethical standards of objective science.

And now the argument is turning to the "90%" of science that was not directly implicated in the emails exposed. But you know what you get when you put a teaspoon of sewage into a barrel of wine? You get a barrel of sewage. The validity of anthropogenic global warming has been seriously compromised, and until we can sort out the valid science from the rigged statistics and manipulated models, and until we can restore the system to a point where dissent is given the same platform as the true believers, it makes no sense to inflict cataclysmic damage to the world economies under the guise of "settled science."

Bullcrap. This type of question is popping up all over YA, as the reality of the Leftist sheeple's embrace of fraud mounts.

So what if a targeted energy company takes a side?

Here's an idea: Why don't you hack a few email accounts and find some evidence of FRAUD in the anti-warming science? So far, YOU GUYS are the only demonstrable hoaxers.

You do realize that multiple people are blowing the whiste on this one? Liberalism is doing it to itself. Why is there so much cover-up if it is another Republican Conspiracy against the earth?

Exxon has what to gain from doing this? They aren't even considering banning gasoline...just raising taxes.

You fail and Liberalism is failing as it always does.

God I miss the only half-way liberals like Bush and Clinton.

Let the liberal frauds and conspiracy theories begin!

Liberals are completely helpless to defend themselves intellectually, so the only things they have left are name-calling, false accusations and character assassination.

There is a 95% chance that EVERYTHING you've just claimed is a lie.

I don't need Exxon to tell me it's a sham. I already knew it was a sham.
