XMAS is almost here again! Time to celerbrate the Pagan winter festivals?

stolen by the Christians and turned into a consumer frenzy.

Isn't it about time the Christians backed off and allowed the Pagans to enjoy this festival as it should be celebrated?

actually, winter for pagans is a time to relax and start thinking inward. yule is more of a time with family or a small group than a big festival. It was a time to celebrate the days beginning to get longer again, but was not usually celebrated in such a big fashion as beltane or samhain would be.

The X in Xmas is the greek letter for Christ.

    Christ Mass

Is a Catholic Holy Day or Holiday

Giving gifts is something that the Bishop Nicolas did when he gave to the poor.

The reason it falls on or near a pagan festival is because that is what Catholics did to help ease the great change cultures had when they heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

When you talk about the perversion of XMAS you speak about cooperate America, not Catholics.

I think you need to stop drinking the cool aid

    (1) Contingent things exist.

    (2) Each contingent thing has a time at which it fails to exist (contingent things are not omnipresent).

    (3) So, if everything were contingent, there would be a time at which nothing exists (call this an empty time).

    (4) That empty time would have been in the past.

    (5) If the world were empty at one time, it would be empty forever after (a conservation principle).

    (6) So, if everything were contingent, nothing would exist now.

    (7) But clearly, the world is not empty (premise 1).

    (8) So there exists a being who is not contingent.

    (9) Hence, God exists.

“Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and reverence” (1 Peter 3:15-16).

i became with you till you suggested all of them have been celebrated on the twenty 5th of December. yule is easily the shortest day of the 365 days, that may fall from the nineteenth to the twenty third, yet not often if ever on the twenty fourth or twenty 5th. yet definite, it does have pagan roots with the aid of apostles determination to incorporate gentiles (non-Jewish) human beings in the religious teachings of Christianity. that's much greater heavily appropriate to Hanukkah, from which Christianity emerged, in view that Jesus Christ became Jewish. that's broadly regularly occurring that the easily start of Jesus Christ became no longer in the iciness (the shepherds in the fields, the clever men vacationing, the consensus of the human beings) yet extremely in the spring. even inspite of the shown fact that it became celebrated in the iciness so new Christians might desire to partake in the festivities of the season and not sense surpassed over. So, definite, some Christians are conscious of this and don't attempt to overlook appropriate to the roots of their faith and its holidays, and take a inspect to comprehend the vacations of others going on around them. Edit: Sorry, Samwise. Easter is widely known in the spring with the aid of fact it coincides with the Jewish trip of Passover, the final supper that Jesus Christ had along with his apostles. yet in any different case your rant became truly cool.

I'm sure that Christians celebration of this pagan holiday will not deter the pagan celebration, but You forgot to add the pagan activities of drunkenness, hangovers, ridicule, fights between friends

Christmas isn't pagan. The traditions surrounding it in order to maintain culture is, but the holyday itself really isn't. I don't know any pagans who celebrate the birth of Christ.

This will be fun. I'm going to stay cozy and warm. My boyfriend is Catholic though so I'm going to have to educate him a little on Yule. Though we probably won't get anything done! D:
