Why is Java so important in security?

I am not asking why security is important but why Java is important in security? thanks

    Java is important in security because its a script then runs the current website you are browsing, its also important in security because some Java-Scripts you are browsing might be downloading a virus from another network signal then downloads it into your computer without being detected. I already understand and studied though... Hoped I helped =D

    Basically, Java is a programming language which is used in many areas. It has tools and algorithms which are used in security (for example cryptography). You can find out more by googling 'Java and security'.

    Java is a script, that enables you to run particular flash classes. on your 2d question: Its essentiel to maintain your protection as much as this point?...as your computing device might get contaminated and die otherwise.
