Have A 4 1/2 Week Old Puppy That's Constipated ?

The person who sold me the puppy said the puppy was older, We brought him home and realized, that his back bottom teeth aren't in, He has all his other teeth, And on the bottom in the back it seems like he isn't going to have teeth cause his row of gums back there is really thin and it seems like there isn't going to be teeth there

Well we have him on Pedigree wet puppy food, We bought him Pedigree dry puppy food but the food is to hard for him we put water in it, but it doesn't get soft enough for him anyways he isn't pooping that much today, and in the morning when my boyfriend tried to feed him he didn't want to eat, yet when I fed him he eat, his eaten three times today, poop once, and it was only really little, compared to his poops yesterday, and his poop is a bit watery, not to bad, but still a bit watery, wanted to know what to give him to get him to poop some home remedies, i heard awhile ago that olive oil helps them poop, but not to sure if its right, need some answers to see what to give him to make him poop, he usually poops twice to three times a day, yet today he poop once and it was only a small poop, like really little compared to his poops yesterday am flat broke right now, need some answers from experienced puppy owners, who went through this to

Update:

i had all my dogs on retriever dog food, my two pitbulls suffored from diarhea, my indoor chihuahua mix suffored from poops that came out completly white, i put them all on pedigree, the two pitbulls dont have any diarhea anymore, and my chihuahua mix poops looks better, and all my dogs were on retriever dog food, i put them all on pedigree, and they all got better, and i know he shouldnt be away from his mother, but the person who sold him to me, lied to my face and told me he was over 5weeks old, said he was 6weeks old, but his only going to be 5weeks old, and i dont want to give him back to the person cause he didnt seem to do a good job he just wanted to get rid of them as fast as he could, i am getting some money in a couple of days, and will take him to the vet, but seeing as its saturday i dont want him to suffer, so i want to give him something that will make him poop, now, instead of him being constipated for days to come

Update 2:

yeah i heard about olive oil, and i put water in with his wet puppy food, cause he cant reach the water bowl of my older indoor dog, my chihuahua, cause its alot way bigger then he is, he is only 2lbs, he is a chihuahua mix with a toy shih tzu, i bought him as a xmas present for my dad, he said he wanted a boy puppy, so i found one that i could afford, and when i showed him to my dad, he was really happy but also very worried cause my mom didnt want anymore dogs, and ofcourse i showed mom she went balistic, for the first day, the second day was better, and now she accepts him as part of the family

Hi, I have 2 dogs, a German Shepard/Lab mix, and a Siberian Husky. When I bought my German Shepard (Daisy) she was 3 weeks old. (I bought her from petsmart) and I noticed she was really skinny, but she wasn't eating. We gave her olive oil, which really helps alot. but don't give him too much. We found out that Daisy was eating plastic from our backyard, so it was blocking her from... going. She is now happy, and healthy. I would recommend putting these in her food: Olive oil (about 1 spoon full, depending on how much he eats), Water (A little less than the olive oil, but enough to make it moist), and I also gave her a little peanut butter (Idk why but it helped a little) but just a little.

    Hope I helped!

1.) A large stomach in puppies does not necessarily mean it's bloated, especially in a puppy THIS young. It could very well have a serious worm infestation. The puppy needs to see a VET to confirm what the large stomach is from, and check for other health issues. 2.) As far as feeding, I agree that you need to go to a vet, or a pet supply store (Tractor Supply, Pet Smart, etc...) and pick up some Puppy Replacement Formula (you'll need more then one can, and it can get quite pricey). This is about the best thing you can give the puppy for the next couple weeks. At around 5 or 6 weeks, start offering regular puppy chow soaked in the replacement milk. At around 7 weeks, soak the food in half the milk replacement and half water, and gradually use less and less of the milk replacement until you're at all water. At around 9-10 weeks, you can start gradually introducing hard puppy food. Given the age, and the situation, this puppy needs to see a vet ASAP. The vet will be able to give you better feeding instructions, based on the health of the puppy, etc...

Well, a puppy of his age shouldn't be weaned yet, so get him some milk supplement or some goats milk. As well, switch to anything but Pedigree; it actually has an ingredient in it that was banned from human food because it was found to cause cancer. As for making your puppy poo, the milk will help, as would a higher protein food. The wet food you're giving him should help, too. :)

most people dont know this but dogs are lactose intolerant---people feed their dogs milk all the time as a treat, but all it ends up doing is makin them poop!! if your having money issues----give your dog some milk. it will not hurt him --just will loosen his stool. if the problem persists then you will need to contact a vet cuz the constipation may be caused from something other then his diet
