Catholics - question about Mary?
Do you believe Mary remained a virgin? If so, do you base this off of scripture or is this something that the Pope said or something like that?
Grand Mister Mystic - that doesn't seem like a logical conclusion because why not then call John the baptist Jesus' brother. I think making the determination to call him Jesus' cousin, should show you that there is a differentiation.

Mary also gave birth to James and Jude by her husband Joseph and she also had daughters according to the bible and as far as i can tell there was only one virgin birth and that was Jesus.

Anyone who has read the bible know how meticulous births are documented like in Genesis and Matthew so a sibling of Jesus being born would have been documented in great detail.
The bible never mentions any younger siblings, never mentions another birth from the Blessed Mother.
The bible mentions Jesus' "brothers" but in those times as in other countries outside the US cousins are called bothers and sisters. An example in the Old Testament is when Lot is called Abram's brother when it is his nephew.
Peace be with you.

Genesis 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
Genesis 12:5 Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the persons which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; thus they came to the land of Canaan.

Base it off of Scripture. The same verse you use to say that she had sex after marriage is the same one we use to defend that she didn't. Jesus' "brothers" could have been "nephews, cousins, etc." The word "brother" also meant the other two. ;-)
Also, it doesn't really matter whether we believe she was a virgin her whole life or not. It's not like God will go, "Good, you thought Mary was a perpetual virgin, come into Heaven." It's really one of those beliefs that the naive fight over. ;-)

I'm proud of my mother who has gone to her rest and I don't need anyone to tell me otherwise. But Mary, the ever Virgin, remains to be my mother.
Edit: In Aramaic, sisters and brothers aren't necessarily siblings. There were other women called Mary[a very common name] at that time. Why if you wish to believe, Jesus says "who is my mother ..." and that means Mary is not his mother? Go ahead and believe what you want. You have every right to do so and so do I.

I'm not catholic, Thank God (lol). I believe Mary and Joseph had more kids so either she wasn't a virgin anymore or God came back to visit a couple times.

She was married, how to be a virgin? Common sense
Everybody can lie, you just need a bunch of "something" to believe in yours

Technically I'm ex-catholic, but no. I don't think Mary remained a virgin. Seeing as how she was HUMAN.

Joesph was so pious that he never once tapped it even though he was married to it.
Joesph was a man. He was married to Mary. What more proof do you need that she isn't a virgin?
I don't believe the Quran. Sorry. She was not the highest woman in creation. She was just a woman. She sinned too. Otherwise she could have died on that cross herself.

I believe that Mary remained a virgin. She was the archetype of the earliest nuns as mentioned by St. Paul:
1Cr 7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

Um didn't Joseph and Mary conceive a younger brother for the J-man named James?
