Why are liberals much more likely to be college educated than conservatives?

Because liberals spent too much time taking political correctness classes and not enough math classes. Does anyone think Obama understands simple economics?

Because Republicans generally live in southern states which spend less money on education, have a lower number of universities per capita than northern states, and have more people living in rural areas who do jobs like farming where a university education is not required. For some reason, southern states just seem to value education less than northern states.

Compare the number of and quality of universities in places like Massachusetts or New York or California to places like Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana.

Because conservatives live in the real world and liberals live in an imaginary world.

Real conservatives tend to be better educated - they are basically wealthy and are conservative to protect their money.

The problem is, those conservatives have too small of a base to win elections, so they co opt the social evangelical conservatives (non college educated) to vote wtih them and give them their social christianist agendas, which the wealthy right doesnt care about because they can pretty much buy their way out of whatever they have to (abortions, drug offenses, etc).

But liberals are the college educated among us who hate the social conservative control freaks.

Have you ever heard the term "Liberal Elite"? I would probably say your question is a generalization because it's a simple fact that no matter what someone's political philosophy is if they don't know why they are conservative or liberal if they are basically misinformed they won't be able out debate someone that is informed no matter what their political beliefs are which would probably mean the informed person is smarter.

More Democrats are likely to have attended some higher education and then dropped out.

Simple put, age demographics, most teens are liberal to some extent (if not already 110%), whether they "wise up" as they get older, or values change to where they become the conservatives. As people get older they become more conservative.

This pattern has always been around.

I would like to see some proof of that one .....I think your definition of intelligence is somewhere in a book you didn't read.I am pretty sure your question answers its self..
