God doesn't punish you as in wrath punishment. He either allows you to reap the consequences of your sins (this only happens naturally without God's doing), or He corrects you in a loving way. You may not like that correction but it is just the same when a loving parent corrects his/her child.

Correction is helpful for those who want to grow spiritually. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 12:7, TLB. "Let God train you, for he is doing what any loving father does for his children. Whoever heard of a son who was never corrected?"

Scripture is also the source of correction for people's lives. It's in the Bible, II Timothy 3:16,17, NIV. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

When you confess your sins and ask for forgiveness, He will forgive you. He doesn't allow every sin you do to hurt you. That is what His mercy is there for. But there are times He must allow you to reap the consequences if He sees it will help you to mature spiritually.

God is ready and waiting to forgive anyone who asks. It's in the Bible, Psalm 86:5, TLB. "O Lord, you are so good and kind, so ready to forgive; so full of mercy for all who ask your aid."

How is God's mercy measured? It's in the Bible, Psalm 103:11-12, NIV. "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."

When we're forgiven we shouldn't continue to feel guilty. It's in the Bible, Psalm 32:5, NIV. "Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord'—and You forgave the guilt of my sin."

We need not be afraid of God. It's in the Bible, I John 4:18, TLB. "We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; His perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what He might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what He might do to us, and shows that we are not fully convinced that He really loves us."

Read the bible. If you're catholic, reading the bible is more or less prohibited, but if you're protestant you're required to read the bible for your salvation.

First, the bible clearly states that God is not mocked, what ever seed you plant, you will receive a bountiful harvest. While God is quick to forgive you for your sins, He is like any parent. If you knew that you could do wrong and say "I'm sorry" to your Mom to avoid punishment, wouldn't you just do what you wanted and then say I'm sorry after you did it? Even with your mom, if she has told you not to do something and you did it and say I'm sorry, she will still punish you if she feels like you weren't really sorry. God is the same way. He may forgive us enough to not allow the punishment to totally devastate us, but it is through hard times that we learn our boundaries, but hard times also teach us how to achieve. We sometimes go through hard times because of sins that we have committed. However, sometimes God wants to teach us how to overcome a situation so that we can teach others how to overcome. In either case, both are simply to help us become better people.

As far as the dinosaurs, it is possible that no such creature ever existed. Be careful what people try to feed you. However, it is equally possible that dinosaurs were created before man, because the animals of the earth were created before man in the 25th verse of Genesis 1. In the bible it says that a day for God is like a thousand years for us, so we don't know how long before man was created the animals roamed the earth.

However, we could debate the truth of the bible versus common sense for a decade and never come to an agreement. What you should take away from this, is that faith is about knowing something without being able to prove it. God challenges us to ignore what the world is telling us and just know and believe that He is real. This is hard for anyone, especially in the mind of youths and fools that believe that if they cannot see, smell, taste, hear, or feel it then it isn't real. However, they are just as likely to believe that there is life on other planets or that dinosaurs existed at one time simply because someone has told them this and "it makes sense." For me, it is equally plausible that Satan's job is to provide tricks for us to believe that there is no God, or that things in the bible must be wrong because we have "found" things that seem to disprove it. Assuredly, no science has ever proven the bible wrong.

that's all God's doing — if, of direction, you have self assurance in an omniscient, interfering writer with a grand plan and a particular interest in our little Earth. Out right here on the fringe of the 4 hundred-billion-megastar Milky way — purely considered one of an expected a hundred-billion-plus galaxies in our 14-billion-365 days-previous universe — a God's particular subject for the guy can look preposterous. however the belief of God continues to be crucial to a lot of people searching for meaning of their lives. regardless of a fractious historic past, technology and theology now have a closer alignment: some incredibly respected physicists and cosmologists, have proposed in present day times that the universe is fastidiously lawful, to the degree that it form of feels objective-equipped to offer existence. the universe isn't the plaything of a capricious deity, yet "a coherent, rational, elegant and harmonious expression of a deep and functional meaning". at the same time as completely different to "smart layout" is looking precisely an identical questions as theology: why are we right here and why is the universe how that's? The "theory of each and every thing" that scientists are preparation to describe the guidelines of the universe is in reality a sort of God concept — and lots larger than the infantile image of a punishing previous guy with a flowing white beard firing lightning bolts from "His" arms. devil, too, continues to be a going subject as God's counterpoint — yet especially in being co-opted by ability of international leaders to represent the fewer-than-human Enemy.

The honest truth is God does not punish anybody for their sins. Why should He? Now, if He does not punish anyone that means there is no forgiveness of sins and if there is it happens only once in a lifetime.

It should be noted that for every action we perform we receive the reward or fruit of it. That means anytime we do good we receive the reward of it.This has nothing to do with God who is so sweet, kind and just to punish His own children.

No god plays any role in what happens here on earth, mankind picks up the tab to bring grief and discomfort to other mankind.

Problems occur due to the lack of ethnics, mental stability, etc. from others around you.

Religion is part of a governed system to keep people in tact, more controlled, to exist in a more civilized manner (in their eyes), and for most remember the bible was written by mankind who only claimed of a gods existence which only manifested with in their own delusional mind.

Wake up! It is mankind who brought you this so called christian belief system and it is mankind that tears it down.

No god punishes anyone, it is mankind who punishes them, you are so clouded with delusion.

God doesnt let something bad happen to u when u commit sin. the bad things are the result of the sin that a person has committed. (e.g. a person who drinks alcohol would get a liver illness. that liver illness is the result of being a drunkard.)

since im a Catholic, i confess my sins to a priest.

In my humble opinion: It is a judgment of God that you remain in sin. When you think that you're getting away with it, that's the worst thing of all that can happen. The worst sign of God's judgment is that you're able to sin and get away with it.
