I need to know the term used for this photoshop technique?

I have no idea how to do it. It's okay, you don't have to tell me how. I just need to know what it's called so that I can google it.

Okay, here's a description:

You take an image and place it over another, however the overlayed image is morphed to fit the background image.

Do you know? If not, I added an image to help you visualize it.

    Its called a clipping mask.

Using your sample as a model here's how you do it:

    • Duplicate the image of the model to another layer

    • Remove the background from the model on the duplicate layer to create a cut-out

    • Place an image of a flag on a layer below the model cut-out

    • In the Layers Palette, right click on the model cut-out layer and select Create Clipping Mask

The background layer remains visible so that after the clipping mask is created, the rest of the model and the sky are there.
