computer help please?

my computer broke a few months ago. It will turn on but it stops before i can log on and it keeps repeating that process. I have over a thousand pictures stored on the computer. I heard the only way to get the computer fixed is if everything in the computer is removed. i dont care about the computer anymore but i want to get my pictures and stuff that i have saved. Is there anthing i can buy to do that. or is there anyway i can get the pictures otherwise?

When the computer reboots before even starting up it means some of the hardware is messed up and needs to be sent in to be fixed. They usually fix this by cleaning ouy the computer and reinstalling all hardware and software. When they are gonna do this for you they ask if you would like to have your previous information backed up onto the redone computer. When you get your computer back you can find a folder with all the old files usually on the desktop or in the C: Drive old program files. Just make sure you tell them if they dont ask, sometimes they do it without asking or not at all.

There is nothing wrong with the computer the problem is that windows has crashes You can get the pictures and other stuff off the drive quiet easy, by downloading a copy of a Linux Live CD. or finding out if anyone near you has got a copy.

    What you need

    An external hard drive

    Or

A 4 gig usb jump drive

you can download a copy of Linux live cd from here click on the link below and start the download,

    http://www.linuxmint.org/

once you have downloaded the fie 668 megabytes you then have to make a boot able cd from the file then boot up the system with the cd, , once the system is booted up you can find all your files and folders high light them then copy and past to the Hard drive or the USB jump drive

Don't pay hundreds of dollars for someone to fix your old computer and backup your existing data. Just buy a computer, then open up your old computer and take out the hard drive, then open your new computer and plug the old hard drive into it through one of the empty IDE cables, make sure the old hard drive is set to "slave", then turn on your computer and you will not have 2 hard drives to store information in which increases how many pictures you can store - and the best part, you will have access to all your old pictures.

If the above sounds greek to you, just take my words and give them to a friend that is computer savvy. Tell them that you want such a thing done, and they should be able to do it for you. For a computer savvy person its actually a really quick fix - takes 15 minutes tops.

Find a friend that knows even a little bit about computers and have him hook up the hard drive into another computer. That way you can access the hard drive and burn the media that you want to a disk or something.
