Miss Firing cylinder? what does High fuel injector Voltage mean?

2000 Acura integra. Code says cylinder 1 and 2 are miss firing. have tested for sparks and compression and both are good. Put the multimeter on each fuel injector and cylinder 2 had a substansially high voltage reading? what does this suggest?

Those are different problems on their own, the fact is that there are some current issues on the car.

have you installed an amp and made a short circuit?

The fuel injectors are no other thing that a coil that generates a magnetic force to open and close the gas, if it got dirty, rusted or simply stuck, it will be the reason of draining power and overloading electronics, by now the small damage has extended to the control box and over heated a transit or or micro chip and that´s why 1 and 2 fail,,,, individually test each fuel injector for voltage drop or leakage of current, in other words a coil inside might be damaged and is making ground contact whit the fuel or using the fuel as grunge pole, coils must be isolated,,test the output on the connectors of each injector

if the current variates that's where the problem is,,,

new wires, check injectors they close and open fully..and ground shortage in the inside of them.

The real problem is What was the cause of this failure,,,,dirty fuel,,,you let the level too low too frequently on the gas tank, dirty fuel from El Chippewas stop... and ..or rust on the fuel lines and the real need to do a pro clean up other wise it will happen again......

good luck. no warranties, exchanges or substitutions.

It suggests the resistance of the cylinder 2 injector is high, possibly an internal short. If the injector resistance is out of specification it must be changed. This is if you checked the ohms of the input to the injector with the harness disconnected. If the voltage for one injector is higher with the engine not running and the key forward then you should check for resistance in the injectors (above) and check the resistance of the injector wiring back to the ecm. If resistance is below 1 ohm or so you should replace/swap the ecm and check for equal voltage.

what variety of motor vehicle? in case you have the time, replace the injector to a distinctive cylinder to work out if the subject follows, if it maintains to be with #2 then you definately understand to look on the harness, and then the ecu.

No voltage drop from actuation= it is not activating. That injector is bad. But I'm not a mechanic...
