Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

A bit risky isn't it?

No offense to those kind enough to provide answers, but I am amazed at how many people are asking serious health questions on here and trusting total strangers who may have no medical training or experience whatsoever to correctly diagnose their problems. I would suggest at least checking with a doctor before following the advice of anyone on here about serious health issues.

You're RIGHT! People need to understand that a professional opinion is paramount. On the other hand there are often professionals answering the questions here and it never hurts to get the opinion of someone who may have experienced the same conditions.

I agree. When I answer in the health section, I usually say to see a doctor.
