What do you religious and non religious folks think?
I am a Christian and I hang out with this boy who is A wiccan, Yeah it is true I hang out with other people out of my religious circle, but that ok, just because I am a christian does not mean I have to isolate from people, unless they try to get me to do things that will harm me, but any ways we were having a good conversation, until this other boy came up and started to put my friend down, I understand it is our duty to witness, but that does not mean you have to condemn other people harshly, then he had the nerve to turn on me so,before my wiccan friend was about to get up and start swinging fists on the so called christian, I got up and said to that so called christian, "DID YOU KNOW IT IS A SIN TO CONDEMN OTHERS THAN YOURSELF, AND THAT JESUS SAT WITH THE PROSTITUTES, TAX PAYERS AND OTHER SINNERS. PLUS ALL THIS STUFF YOUR DOING HERE LYING, SLEEPING AROUND, AND YOU GOSSIPING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE AND YOUR TRYING TO CONDEMN US." He got quiet and my friend laughed at him, then I told him "YOUR A HYPOCRITE" everyone knows the things he did not just me. I know it seems wierd to turn against a fellow christian, but did not God said not to judge others than yourself and didn't Jesus condemn the religious people for being hypocrites and not the sinners, well through most of his ministry? I may not agree with the Wiccan for religious reasons but, at least I don't go and condemn him because as far as I am concern I am not better than the average person. And the other boy just walked off, but I don't think we will see the last of him. I have a bad feeling that a storm is coming.

You know it was the religious leaders of Jesus's day that had him crucified.
If you're going to truly live a life like Jesus, be prepared for opposition... from both the religious and non-religious...

I think you're a Christian who reads your Bible and follows your religion's actual precepts. If you speak to your minister about this, more than likely he'll tell you that the absolute very first step in witnessing is to live as Christ would have you live. A non-Christian can smell a hypocrite at a thousand paces. Now, did you do the right thing with the Christian? As an atheist, I'm cheering. If I were still a Christian, I'd probably say, confrontation has its place, but how could you have led this Christian into a more godly life? You may find the answer to heading off the coming storm in the answer to that question. You can still help that Christian live a godly life. You just have to figure out how to approach him without confrontation. Don't be afraid to ask your minister for guidance, either.

There is no significant condemnation of judging in Scripture. Jesus judged the scribes and Pharisees, and he did not hesitate to express his views (Matthew 5:20; 6:2,5). We cannot read exactly what is in our other’s minds, as Jesus was able to do (John 3:24, 25), so that our judgment has to be more reserved. But, there is nothing in the teaching of Christ or of the apostles that relieves us of the obligation to form opinions about people and to act upon the basis of these opinions - as you did.

Some Christians seem to think the best way to witness is to insult people. It never works, and is counter-productive at best. People who use that approach aren't really concerned about doing "God's work" anyways, as they really are only driving people away from their version of God.
People like that are only interested in getting their "go ye into all the world" ticket punched, so they can wave it in God's face how holy they are.
I suspect God wishes he could fire a few of theose "good Christians"

The Bible says that it is not the hearers that are justified before God, but the DOERS.
Jesus also said that many would come and brag about all that THEY had done - preaching, witnessing, healing, etc. Jesus said that He would tell them, "I never knew you! Depart from me you evil doers!"
We don't brag about what WE are doing; we are to brag about what JESUS did! The OT Scripture says, "The rich man shouldn't boast about his riches, and the strong man shouldn't boast about his strength, and the wise man shouldn't boast about his wisdom. If you want to boast about anything, boast that you KNOW God ... " (This hebrew word "KNOW" is "YADA", and it is the same root word used when it says that "Adam KNEW Eve, and she conceived". In other words, a personal and intimate relationship with God.)
It sounds like this guy you're talking about fits in with all these Scriptures.

we don't understand what the prospect of existence rising on a perfect planet is. We in basic terms understand that that is achievable (by way of fact it occurred right here). The danger must be something between fantastically much impossible to fantastically much particular. From the initiating of the universe, it took existence approximately 8 billion years to emerge. whether we assume that it develop into in basic terms possibly to ensue as quickly as in that quantity of time, that develop into approximately 4 billion years in the past. If that is possibly to ensue as quickly as in 8 billion years, that could be a minimum of clever to think of that that is occurred back in 0.5 that element. it is that if we play it down, undergo in innovations. we are imagining that the potential for existence rising is the backside that is, and we are ignoring the 1st few billion years of the universe whilst existence did no longer have an risk to exist. This tells us that the least possibly danger of alternative existence being obtainable is fairly intense. this is, on the least, clever. on condition that we performed it down with none justification to (we merely had to be certain the least possibly danger of existence being there), the actual danger is possibly plenty greater. I noticeably doubt it is the only planet with existence interior the universe. there is no longer something to signify that this is, and fantastically plenty each and every little thing to signify that it is not. talking with those extraterrestrial beings is a thoroughly diverse count number, regardless of the undeniable fact that. whether clever existence has superior we'd ought to locate a manner around the regulations of physics earlier we ought to even touch them, till they are very interior attain and we are keen to attend an prolonged time, centuries or perhaps millenia (and this remains assuming they are top on our doorstep) for messages to bounce between us.

You did the right thing. That other person was in the wrong and you were right to berate him. It nice to see that there are people who are accepting of others.

You did the right thing.
The Bible says to welcome strangers, and respect them. The Wiccan, as a stranger to your religion, should therefore not be condemned for their beliefs.

Did you mean to yell at him in CAPS lock?
No, but it's nice to hear everybody is not an asshole, though that maybe been a little bit of an overreaction.
