The Granderson deal...could it be a form of preparation?

Question

What i mean is, with Granderson slotted now. The Yankees still high suitors for Holliday and Bay. Now Lets say the Yankees sign Holliday or Bay, where would Melkey and Gardner fit? In a package for Halladay....right? and all they gotta do is choose between Joba or Hughes, or maybe a bunch of prospects from the minors like Brackman, Kei Igawa, Melancon, Aceves. Plenty to choose from. and then the revolving DH door will be opened up....more likely suited for Damon, but possibly Matsui cuz with a crowded outfield a full time DH will be needed.

This is how i predict the 2010 Yankees to look like.

SS: Derek Jeter  B:R
CF: Curtis Granderson  B:L
1B: Mark Teixeira  B:S
3B: Alex Rodriguez  B:R
LF: Matt Holliday  B:R
DH: Hideki Matsui  B:L
  C: Jorge Posada  B:S
2B: Robinson Cano  B:L
RF: Nick Swisher  B:S

looks pretty strikeout happy if u ask me.... on a side note, for chemistry reasons i prefer the yankees to try and hold onto Melkey for Robinson Canos sake, they are best friends, and Melkey will absolutley get his at bats in, and who knows when one guy goes down, there is Melkey to fit in.

The Rotation after a potential Halladay trade.

LHP: C.C. Sabathia
RHP: Roy Halladay
RHP: A.J Burnett
LHP: Andy Pettitte
RHP: ? maybe a platoon or a B free agent signing.

The bullpen has to many questions for me to post but there is one guy im deffinitly sure of that will be there and that is....Mariano Rivera!!

wow....umm where to start?

In no paticular order....

Granderson I belive would lead off....
Halladay trade would not be "a bunch of prospects" it will take the BEST prospects!
NO ONE would take Igawa for more than a big mac!
The Yankees would not sign Holliday & then get Damon or Matsui!
If the Yankees signed Holliday they wouldnt give Melky or Gardner away, both have the tools for an excellent 5th outfilder, Gardner more so because of his speed!

And all this you are saying the Yankees payroll aditions would be:
Halladay @ $20m per year
Holliday @ $20m per year
Granderson @ $5.5m (2010)
Pettite @ $12m (2010) (most likely)

The Yankees have around $40m comming off the books this year & you are proposing they are going to add $57m to that even though they have anounced they are going to decrease payroll. I can see the Yankees adding 1 & only 1 big name this offseason which means any of these 4:

Halladay (but I still cant see this trade getting done)
Holliday
Bay
Lackey (This is my personal opionion the most likely Yankees signing this offseason)

I don't see the Yankees going after another outfielder of Halladay now. Granderson will take the spot of Damon who they will now let go. The Yanks won't want to pull off another trade requiring major prospects now that they did this one. Also, I don't see Matsui coming back. The Yanks want the DH spot open now that Jeter and Posada are getting older. Damon has a better chance to come back then Matsui.

Well The Yanks said they would have no Problem playing Grandy in Center Field then Putting Melky at Left but i dont Believe that they will Get a LF im not sure if its a Holliday but maybe a Jason Bay
