Does adding antifreeze make the heat work faster?

I think it's time for me to add more antifreeze. I drive a 99 Dodge Intrepid and was wondering if that would make the heat get hot faster. Right now, I start the car up and let it run for about 10-15 minutes in the morning and it's still not as hot as it gets when I've been driving for a while. Does antifreeze have anything to do with that? Thanks...

first the heat comes from the engine so in order to get hot air blowing in your car the engine needs to warm up thus having to wait 10-15 minutes for warm air...antifreeze just keeps your car from over heating in hot weather and keeps the coolant from freezing in cold weather, and congrats about the baby boy.

Coolant used without mixing 50/50 with water will cause an engine to run too hot because pure antifreeze does not disipate heat as well as plain water, but water will freeze and cause rust in the engine. The 50/50 mix provides the best protection in all cases.

No. Antifreeze does not affect the running temperature of your car. All Antifreeze does is prevent the coolant from freezing in winter weather when the car is not running. It lowers the freezing point of water. it also can raise the boiling point preventing "boil out" of coolant in summer when you are running your A/C.

No it does not. Antifreeze is added to keep your cooling system from freezing during cold weather.

Yes if your coolant was totaly low to start with. You have to have heated coolant to get heat.
