Well, everyone starts out female the first 2-3 months in the womb (everyone). You are either XX chromosomal (female) or XY (male). Honnetly it does not matter anyway. Genitals don't make the gender and some trans men I've known are the kindest most gentlemenly men I 've ever met. Compared to men that are born with male anatomy, transmen are generally much more comfotable with their masculinity, so what does that say about genitals? =)

Surgeons would have to take skin from other areas of the body in order to make the penis. The clitoris has to be moved further outward in order to have proper sensitivity. I really can't blame any transman for not having srs because the current surgical techniques are actually pretty bad.
