Is it a Boy or Girl???
My 20 week scan is on the 13th of January and im hoping to find out the sex of my baby, thing is, i dont want to wait that long, lol! My last pregnancy was 8 years ago and perhaps my body has just changed, but i had barely no illness at all the entire way through. I was pregnant with a boy that time round. This time round i have been feeling sick, getting headaches, throwing up and suffering from constipation since week 8. (TMI, sorry)
I just wondered if people have found that differing pregnancy symptoms have meant a different sex baby, or if perhaps there are any people who have had an 8 year or so gap and two totally different pregnancies, resulting in the same sex baby.
Ooh, while im here, any tips on relieving constipation during pregnancy would be greatly appreciated. Im sure alot of you know how it is :(
Dont worry Sophie, not something i would ever consider. I didnt know with my son at all till he was born as they couldnt tell from the scan, but somehow i knew he was a boy. Im with you on the fruit juice craving though. Can't get enough, especially apple juice.
I have to say spiral that my bum stayed perfectly pert during my last pregnancy and that was a boy, unfortunately now it just isnt perfectly pert, damn gravity! Loving the kiwi suggestion thanks, i love kiwis.

There are old wives' tales around that some women use to guess the gender, but they really are just old wives' tales! Based on them my first should have been a boy (she is a girl), and this one a girl (3 scan show definite boy) lol. You'll hear a lot of "fast heart rate, girl, slow heart rate, boy"- well, both my babies have had identical heart rates- 148bpm resting with both! I've also not had any sickness with either, same cravings (except I NEED fruit juice every day in this pregnancy), I'm carrying them the same.
There is no way to tell for sure other than to wait until your scan (even then it's not 100%) or until the birth! Amnio tests can give a definite result but there is no way this should ever be done just to confirm the sex.

Try The Ring Test : you simply take your wedding ring and tie a thread about 12 inches long to it. Sit or lie down and let your friend or Husband ( make sure no There will be no shaking ) hold the thread over your pregnant belly. The ring will either go in circles or side to side (back and forth).
If the ring goes in circles, you're expecting a baby boy. If the ring goes side to side you are expecting a girl according to this old wives tale.
or try Chinese Baby Gender Prediction Calendar .. By the way both of them woked for me and my friends ..so GooD Luck

i got sick with my boys but when i got pregnant with my girl i didn't have any symptoms i didn't even know i was pregnant until i was almost 4 months along! perhaps... it's the other way around with you. some people say they carry their boys with no symptoms at all, but when they get pregnant with a girl its a totally different situation.

it sounds like a girl just because things are so opposite with ur pregnancies, but idk bout the whole 8 year thing...
And cranberry juice will help relieve constipation usually!
