could i have diabetes?
i have been monitoring my sugar levels since i have been urinating alot and have been getting shaky alot too, my dad is a diabetic. it has been anywhere from 102 to 195. the highs are mainly at night. i don't eat a high carb diet since my husband is diabetic. i don't drink stuff with sugar in it mainly water and crystal light. my average level is about 150.
i have not been dx'ed with diabetes. i go t o the doc today and plan on bringing it up. here are a run on my high numbers
12/1 180 at 9:42 am not eaten since 10pm
12/2 198 at 1:30am " 6pm
12/4 145 at 9:58am " 11pm
12/6 149 at 10:20am " midnight
12/6 160 at 11:37pm " 4pm
12/7 148 at 8:46am " 11pm
12/9 195 at 12am " 5pm
12/9 151 at 8:30am " 2am
i have additional values but they are all below 140

Lady if you want to protect your kidneys, arteries and retinas you should consult an endocrinologist NOW. After starting your medicine you should also start a stricter dietexercise excercise excercise and have 3-monthly check ups. Fasting and postprandial capillary blood prick measurement: 3 x a week to start with until you are stable. Sorry but your glucose levels are not good.
