Meaning of seeing a white being and smelling flowers?

My brother has always experienced "weird" things happening in his room. For example, a friend of his saw two "beings" one night when he slept overnight in his bedroom. He thought they were my sister and I who had come in the middle of the night to wake him up. But the next morning, he found out that neither my sister nor I had stepped in that room at all. Now, a few months after that, my brother tells me that he's seen a "white being" with white hair and old (as in old testament) clothes. My brother closed his eyes, felt it next to him and  heard a very high pitch that immobilized him for a few seconds, then the "being" disappeared. Then last night on his way home from work, he started smelling flowers out of nowhere. There were no flowers in the car or near the road. 

I was wondering if anyone has some insight regarding these events? Thanks in advance.

My guess is that he is seeing his spirit guides and guardians as the description of their attire is correct and the flowers clinched it. When I was 10, I saw one of mine who looked exactly that way...flower scent and all. It was one night that I drank too much in the evening and had to go really bad. Many times since I have seen them and they always are accompanied by the scent of flowers, which I've come to think they may use somewhat like we use air fresheners to overcome strong odors.

It could be angels . They do this kind of thing. It might be Jesus. I have had this suddenly flower fragrance and so have some of my friends at the same time in a closed room.
We just assumed someone or something was near us . I don't think it is anything to be frightened about . You would be amazed how many people have these experiences and just never bring it up. 
Normally the brighter the being , the more likely it is an angel . 
If you see these things darting about out of the corner of your eye and they are dark, I just ignore them and eventually they leave. 
If he talks to God , he might ask God what they are.

Typically the sudden presence of an overwhelming scent of flowers is a Marian apparition. Lucky him, as yesterday was the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception (the day Mary was conceived). He is very blessed.

Better to consult a neurologist. Can be prelude to epileptic seizures. Such sensory perceptions usually predict uncontrolled electrical activity in the brain.
