After The Contractions, Maybe still contracting?

Im 35 weeks.

Okay, So last night My husband and I decided to have a nice romantic night, That ended with the usual...(sex)

Anyways, About 15 minutes later I was getting a cramp in the bottom of my belly, like the pelvis area, THEN all of a sudden I was hit with these Contractions (which i had never felt before) That Stopped me Dead in My tracks! I could barely walk and they wouldnt let up!!

Anyways, We ended up going to the hospital at midnight and The hooked me up to a monitor And Told me I was Contracting And It was most likely because of the sex (i thought was a myth) And That I was Dilated to a 1. An hour later I was a 2. Then The contractions got a bit easier and they said i wasnt dilating anymore, SO they sent me home with permission to pop some pain relievers.

Anyways...........What Im worried about is that They didnt get better when i got home. I could barely sleep! I was waking up every few minutes to clench my teeth and change positions.

Im Still SO SORE, and I keep getting The same ( i guess mild contractions) all day long, No matter if Im laying down or standing up.

And I also saw light pink when i wiped this morning, but not really anymore since then.

So what do you think? Does it sound like Labor is coming soon since the contractions wont stop? Or Should I just wait again to see if they get bad again?

Any Info or just your thoughts about it is appreciated! This is my first pregnancy!

That is so scary. I remember when my hubby and I made love I would usually have contractions. There is a hormone in the semen that softens the cervix and perpares it. There is also a chemical released called Oxytocin with orgams. The hospital has made a more powerful and concentrated version of this that they use to induce labor with, Pitocin. The spotting could be from the sex as your cervix is very sensitive since you are in your 3rd trimester.

Since you were checked recently you may continue to have some spotting. Rule of thumb, with contractions drink 32 oz of water and lay down. Time them or have someone else do so. IF they become more intense, closer together and continue you need to call. It could be pre-term labor. They always told me that if I had more than 4 an hour in a 2 hour period I needed to call. For me though I had the full on contractions they just weren't doing anything lol lucky me. I went in to get checked many times. Since you did dilate with them though we know they are active. If they continue and are painful I wouldn't mess around but call. In the meantime water and rest. No more sex until you know whats going on. You have only 2 more weeks until you are full term. I was having my contractions since week 34 with the first and since week 17 with the second.

Best of luck and blessings :)

It might be truly contractions... I had a scare like that after I was once 34wks, so I known as my midwife and he or she advised me to take a paracetamol and a soothing bathtub (now not too scorching) and simply attempt to calm matters and chill out for the following hour and spot if it is going away or will get more potent. Which I did, and after an hour they might stopped. You're most effective 36wks nonetheless, so in case you went to medical institution in labour at this factor the dr's could attempt to give up your labour progressing... so first-rate you attempt to give up it for your possess. That having been stated, it will most effective be bh contractions, however they mostly don't seem to be painful in any respect. So chill out for an hour and spot in the event that they get higher or worse, in the event that they get higher then it is braxton hicks, in the event that they worsen, it might be truly contractions and also you will have to pass to the medical institution. Good success : )
