Long Distance Relationships?

My boyfriend and i are both in college, although I'm in graduate school and he's getting ready to graduate. He's leaving for graduate school, 8 hours away, and I'm not sure we can make it long distance. Even though we've been together for 2 years, we've never talked about any kind of future together, mostly because he says that we're too young to think about things like that. We've also had trust issues in the past that i don't think distance would help. My question is...I love him, but should we even try to stay together if he doesn't plan on a future with me?
