How many deployments are their in the NAVY reserves?
I don't mind being deployed for six months, but I want to finish college and get a degree. I was wondering how many deployments are their in 8 years I have to commit myself to this.

I was deployed twice in my 8 years, once for a year and the other time for 6 months. It all depends on what your rate is in the Navy. Only certain rates are being deployed with any regularity. I know quite a few people that did 20 years in the Navy Reserve and were never mobilized.

Not many. Navy deployments are usually for 6 months.

no way of knwoing when or if your Reserve unit will be called up. far too many variables. and when the Reserves do get called up it is usually for a year at a time.
