Can I have 2 visas in china?

I want to work part time and study part time. I do not think I can have a job on an X visa or study on a Z visa. Is it possible that I get both?

The person who says that the practice of doing a part time job while on study visa is tolerated is grossly wrong. Its just that some cases have not come to the attention of Chinese authorities. Once they know any such case, the violator is met with strict action. They are immediately deported and probably blacklisted.

Applying for a second visa will cancel your first one. You need to be extra cautious while doing a job while you have been granted a visa for studies.

Also note that people of color get a raw deal while doing a part time job in China, as they will prefer white people, especially for English teacher job.

No, should you apply for a second / different visa, the first one is automatically cancelled.

    NO, only one visa.

Many full-time college students teach English part-time to private students. While this practice is technically a violation of Chinese visa rules, it is generally tolerated by authorities because it is not taking jobs from Chinese. If you try applying for a job at a company, then that is a different matter entirely.
