Transferring Windows Movie Maker files from one computer to another?

Is there a way to transfer Windows Movie Maker files from one computer to another WITHOUT publishing and exporting the file as a WMV?

Put all the files in a compressed[zipped] folder and then email it!

There should be a source (project) file saved somewhere on your computer, the same file that you open every time you use the program. Unless you told it to save elsewhere, it's most likely in a folder with the rest of WMMs program files.

Once you've found it, you can just copy that file over same as any other file. (flash-drive, saved on disk, ect.) However, you will need to re-tell the program where each video clip you've used in the project is moved to. In most cases video editing programs will be able to find the video files as long as you point it to the right folder. Also, not all special effects transfer between versions, in case the new computer has a different version.
